The Lockheed-Martin HC-130H Hercules - CG 1705 assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento carries seven brave Guardsmen. As air crew of any aircraft in the US Military know, it is not a sure thing that there will always be a safe return. As this mission began the seven members of the crew were responding to calls of distress from a merchant vessel not too far from the Southern California coast. Today we honor the seven crew members of CG 1705 as well as the two Marines Corps Aviators aboard the AH-1W Super Cobra. They were as follows: Lt. Cmdr. Che J.
